Appointments

Depending on the procedure, appointments can last between 30 minutes to 2 hours. After your braces and/or appliances are placed, you will be seen every 4 to 8 weeks for regular adjustments and check appointments. As expected, late afternoon appointments are in high demand. However, we have come to realize that we cannot possibly provide quality care to each patient if we schedule every patient later in the afternoon. We are sensitive to the demands of school placed on teenagers, working parents, as well as the inconvenience of having to pick up a child from school due to an orthodontic appointment. While we would like to accommodate each patient’s scheduling needs, we realize that this is not always possible. So that we can give each patient the quality, personalized care they deserve equally, there are times when school and work must be missed.

To minimize school and/or work absences, we rotate appointments. Because we schedule several holiday and afternoon appointments, there should be even fewer interruptions to your schedule; if no repairs are needed. Also, because appointment times are rotated, students will not miss the same class each time, which further minimizes absences.

Prior to your first visit, our New Patient Coordinator will confirm your appointment by phone. After this, you can choose to receive confirmations via e-mail or text. These reminders are usually sent 2 to 3 business days before the scheduled appointments. Please remember an e-mail or text is just a reminder. You should rely on your appointment slip in the event that you do not receive a call, e-mail or text reminder.
